EV Speculations with GIORD Automobili Models
As the automotive world rapidly shifts towards electric vehicles (EVs), many luxury brands are evaluating how they will embrace this change. However, for GIORD Automobili, known for its bold traditional internal combustion engine hypercars, the decision on going electric is carefully measured. Giordano Elia, founder and visionary behind GIORD Automobili, shares his thoughts on the future of the brand in this evolving landscape.

While the demand for electric luxury vehicles is undeniable, GIORD Automobili remains committed to its identity of robust, high-performance engines for its hypercars, such as the Huraccini and Huraccini GT. “We focus on what we believe the audience loves most, and right now, that’s the traditional engine,” Elia explains. “We’re not shying away from the electric vehicle trend, but for now, we believe in staying true to the power and soul of our hypercars.”
However, the idea of an electric vehicle is not entirely off the table. GIORD Automobili has hinted at releasing an electric SUV in the future, likely around 2028. “We think SUVs complement hypercars very well — two different lifestyles, and sometimes the same person wants both,” Elia adds.
This move aligns with GIORD’s understanding of its diverse customer base, some of whom may be looking for a luxury SUV with the same level of craftsmanship and performance as their exotic cars.
The potential for electric vehicles at GIORD Automobili, however, will not come at the cost of its brand’s identity. Elia notes that an electric SUV would likely feature the company’s signature touch — fusing cutting-edge electric technology with the classic luxury feel customers have come to expect. “The launch would likely have exciting elements — think of a thrilling start, but with the sustainability of electric power,” he says.
Technological advancements in EVs, particularly in terms of efficiency and performance, excite Elia. However, he believes that electric vehicles must align with the company’s image. “If we ever release an EV, it must reflect the future of what we see at the time. We don’t want to jump on the bandwagon — we want to make sure it feels like a GIORD vehicle, even if it’s electric.”
Despite the growing competition in the electric luxury car market, GIORD Automobili is not deterred. Brands like Tesla and Lotus have made strides in the EV space, but for GIORD, their future vision will focus on perfecting what’s already in the works, like the Huraccini models, before venturing into fully electric options. “We’re all about performance and innovation. We’ve got the right engineering focus, and if the demand aligns with the market, we’ll be ready to innovate,” Elia affirms.
For now, GIORD Automobili’s focus remains on the creation of its hypercars, but electric technology is on the horizon. “In the next decade, we see ourselves at a higher position in the industry, having refined our model lineup. An electric SUV would complement our offering, and we think it would work well with our current customers,” Elia concludes.
As the luxury automotive world evolves, GIORD Automobili will continue to balance tradition with innovation, ready to embrace change while staying true to the values that define the brand.
